How is the monitor size determined?

Monitor size is measured as the length of a diagonal line drawn between a bottom corner on one side and a top corner on the opposite side eg. bottom left to top right or bottom right to top left. Only the diagonal across the screen is included in the measurement, not the bezel/frame (unless otherwise stated).
